Veterinary Visit

Behavior issues should be evaluated by a veterinarian first to rule out medical issues which may be causing or contributing to behavioral issues. This is particularly important for litter box issues, sudden aggression, excessive vocalization or any changes in behavior.

Results & Training Style

No behaviorist can guarantee results. It is strongly recommended that you follow the plan recommendations and use the follow-up period to keep in touch to let me know if you're having any issues with the implementation. For complex cases, additional meetings may be necessary. I use humane training methods and do not condone using any type of punishment including spray bottles, yelling and scat mats. When we meet, I will provide you with alternative training methods. Continuing to use aversive methods negatively impacts the relationship with your cat and will impede our work together. Payment

Payment is due upon scheduling. This helps me weed out non-serious inquiries and prevents no-shows. I accept credit cards and PayPal through Acuity, but can also accept Zelle and Venmo if you prefer - just let me know and I'll help you schedule.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment through the email confirmation from Acuity before 72 hours prior to the start of the appointment. For emergencies under 72 hours, email me directly and I will try to accommodate you if possible.

Cancellation

You may cancel your appointment before 72 hours prior to the appointment time and you will receive a full refund. I do not provide refunds once the 72 hour clock starts prior to the appointment time. Contact me directly if you need to reschedule and I'll try to accommodate you. Short–notice cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) and no shows will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the consultation charge. For no shows, I will wait 5 minutes and try to contact you during that time. If I am unable to reach you after 10 minutes from the start of our appointment, you forfeit the payment and meeting. 

Termination

I reserve the right to terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause. Professional and polite conversation is required at all times, including during the follow up period.
